We like the Atlanta Braves to defeat the San Diego Padres on Sunday at 7:10pm ET for a number of reasons. Here are some of the more important ones:

Atlanta got quite unlucky yesterday, losing 1-0 with an unfortunate bounce leading to SD's only run.

The Braves have now lost each of the first three game but has pitched really well in this series.

They will start AJ Smith-Shawver and he's eager to begin this season after only pitching once last year (he's still just 22 years old.)

San Diego starts Nick Pivetta today. He's looking for a good start at his new team.

The Padres have given up just seven total runs through these first three games.

We think this is another low scoring game.

We like the New York Islanders @ Carolina Hurricanes game to finish UNDER the total on Sunday at 5:07pm ET for a number of reasons. Here are some of the more important ones:

New York will start Marcus Hogberg in net today. He isn't Sorokin, but he's been great with a 1.91 GAA in seven starts this season.

The Islanders have lost four games in a row and haven't scored more than three goals in any of those games.

They've seen the total stay UNDER in five of their nine road game against teams within the Metro Division.

Carolina has some of the best defending in the league. It gives up hardly any shots and has a great penalty kill -- both #1 in the league.

The UNDER is 38-27-7 in all games this season for the Hurricanes.

We like the Toronto Raptors to defeat the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday at 7:40pm ET for a number of reasons. Here are some of the more important ones:

Toronto has won three games in a row and has kept playing hard even with results not always going its way.

The Raptors are 46-28 against the spread this season, which is one of the best in the NBA.

They are 9-5 versus the spread in games played against opponents within the Atlantic Division this year.

Philadelphia played yesterday and lost by 23 at home to Brooklyn.

Even though the 76ers don't have to travel anywhere for this game, they aren't looking very good.

They have a 5-9 against the spread record against opponents within the Atlantic Division.
