I really like the way the Brooklyn Nets are trending. They are 24-12 SU & 24-12 ATS in their last 36 games overall. They upset the Hornets on the road and crushed the Spurs by 16 at home in their last two games and now take on a Washington Wizards team that is going the other direction.
The Wizards are 0-4 SU & 0-3-1 ATS in their last four games overall. The home has gone 6-1 SU in the last seven meetings. The Nets are 8-0 ATS after allowing 90 points or less over the last two seasons.
The Wizards are 0-7 ATS in road games after allowing 110 points or more in four straight games this season. Washington is 4-23 ATS in its last 27 road games against a team with a winning home record.

Here is a lesson on how the NBA works. Portland is 3-0 SU and ATS coming out of All-Star break. All of the Trail Blazers’ victories during this span have impressively come on the road. Boston is 0-3 following All-Star weekend. It’s clear the Trail Blazers are playing well and the Celtics aren’t.
Boston just got blown out in Toronto Tuesday. The oddsmaker opened the Celtics a short favorite. Wrong choice, correct? Nope. The oddsmaker isn’t stupid. The NBA doesn’t always make sense on the surface. But a closer look at the situation reveals that the Celtics should be favored and likely will cover the spread. Portland’s wins have occurred versus the Nets, 76ers minus Joel Embiid and the Cavaliers.
This marks the Trail Blazers’ fourth game in seven days. Portland is fat and happy. The Celtics, during the post-All-Star game period, lost to the Bucks by one point. Milwaukee has the best record in the NBA.
The Celtics then got caught in a sandwich spot getting upset by the Bulls, in which they obviously got caught looking ahead to their Atlantic Division showdown against the Raptors. That game didn’t go the Celtics’ way. No surprise since the Celtics don’t win in Toronto having lost eight in a row there. Now it’s circle-the-wagons time for Boston.
The Celtics have covered 69 percent of their last 51 home contests. They will be sky-high for this matchup with Brad Stevens cracking the whip and they certainly aren’t outclassed.

The Dallas Mavericks are hungry for a victory after losing 5 straight games coming in. They’ve been up against a very tough schedule facing Houston, Utah and the Clippers on the road, as well as Miami and Denver at home.
The Mavericks are still 20-10 SU & 20-10 ATS at home this season. They should be able to handle the Pacers, who are now without their two best players in Victor Oladipo and Domantas Sabonis.
They were already without Oladipo, but the loss of Sabonis flies under the radar because he is one of the most underrated players in the NBA, and a huge part of the Pacers’ team off the bench.
Dallas is 10-2 ATS as a home dog of 6 points or less this season. Indiana is 3-9 ATS in its last 12 road games. The home team is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings.

Milwaukee is 9-3 ATS in their last 12 overall and have payed well on the road, but it is time for the Kings.
