The Cleveland Indians will look to even their series with the San Diego Padres after dropping the opening game. Logan Allen is expected to make his season debut for the Indians. Last season he went 8-5 with a 5.73 ERA and 1.58 WHIP in 20 starts. This spring, he posted a 1.89 ERA and 1.05 WHIP in 19 innings of work. The Padres outscored the Braves 17-7 in a four game sweep to start the season and have now won five in a row. Michael King is projected to get the start. He allowed three runs to the Braves in 2.2 innings on opening day. Last season, he went 13-9 with a 2.95 ERA and 1.19 WHIP in 30 starts and one relief appearance.  Kings had a 3.95 ERA and 1.02 WHIP through 13.2 innings this Spring. King pitched against the Guardians, getting a 2-1 win. He pitched seven innings of a one-run, two-hit ball. The Padres bullpen was unhittable against the Brave, going 3-0 with a 0.56 ERA and 0.69 WHIP in 16 innings. The Guardian's pen threw 11.1 innings going 1-1 with a 2.38 ERA and 1.41 WHIP.

I expect a high-scoring game on Tuesday at Yankee Stadium. Torpedo”. Aaron Judge could hit with a stickball bat. Burnes is the best pitcher the Yankees have seen to start the season but since this is his first start I don’t expect him to through a complete game and that is what they will need as Arizona's bullpen was among the worst in baseball last season. The D’backs have shown they can hit and as evidence, they put up 8 runs Sunday in the 8th inning against the Cubs. These teams are the top two teams in OPS as the Yankees are first with a 1.231 OPS while the Diamondbacks are second at .941. New York hit well against Corbin Burnes last season while Will Warren still needs to prove he can be a consistent starter. Both teams have a 2-1 over record so far this season. I like the over to hit once again.

The Washington Nationals will be on the road to take on the Toronto Blue Jays. The Nationals will look to try and even the series by sending Trevor Williams to the mound. Last season, he went 6-1 in 13 starts with a 2.03 ERA, 1.04 WHIP. Washington dropped two of three to the Phillies, being outscored 19-10. Toronto took the first games of the series 5-2 and will look to take the second by sending Jose Berrios to the mound. His first start did not go well, allowing six runs on nine hits in five innings against Baltimore. Berrios should have a better outing today against a less imposing National’s offense. The Nationals’ bullpen was terrible in the first two games against the Phillies. Toronto scored 16 runs in the last three games of its series against the Orioles this past weekend. Williams allowed four runs in six innings in his only career meeting against Toronto. Berrios has 3.50 career ERA against the Nationals. Berrios bounces back in this start and the Toronto bats plate enough runs to get the win.

Justin Steele gets the start for the Cubs. He is 1-1 with an 8.00 ERA and 1.44 WHIP in two starts this season. He opened the season against the Dodgers but pitched better last time out against the Diamondbacks. Luis Severino will get the start for the A’s. He threw six scoreless innings in a no-decision, allowing three hits and four walks to the Mariners in his first start. Justin Steele has struggled in his  first two starts of the season after posting a 9.35 ERA and 1.61 WHIP in 8.2 innings of work. Luis Severino had a great opening start despite not getting a win. The Cubs bullpen has been terrible so if Steele struggles again they don’t have a lot of help in the pen.

The Blues are not only one of the hottest teams in hockey, but one of the best teams in hockey overall. The Blues offense has been clicking, scoring four or more goals in seven of their last nine games. The Blues rank 14th in goals per game. On the defensive end, they are 11th in goals against per game and 12th in shots against per game. The Red Wings have struggled down the stretch winning games as well as on both ends of the ice. They rank 22 in goals per game and have scored three or fewer goals in eight out of the last 10 games. Defensively, they rank 22nd in goals against per game. The Blues have won nine in a row and I look for them to get umber 10 tonight.

Play on St. Louis minus 1.5 goals. This is a 2% play.

The Golden Knights hold a 6-4 edge in their last 10 head-to-head matchups. Vegas is 2-1 against Edmonton in three meetings this season, while the Golden Knights have won the last three at home against Edmonton. Edmonton will once again be without Connor McDavid and also has its No. 1 goalie Stuart Skinner is out injured. They do get Leon Draisaitl  back in the lineup. Vegas is fourth in goals for and ninth in goals against. Edmonton has lost four of the last five on the road against Vegas. The Golden Knights have won each of the last six overall and eight of the last nine on their home ice. Vegas is 27-7-3 at home this season and they will come away with another win over a shorthanded vegas team. Lay the price with Vegas.
